The University at Buffalo Special Collections presents the first exhibit on Louise Blanchard Bethune, FAIA (1856-1913) in over ten years. The exhibit will celebrate the life and career of America’s first professional woman architect as never before seen. Using images and other ephemera from UB’s newly created Zina Bethune Archive on Louise Bethune, the exhibit will draw from the research of Kelly Hayes McAlonie, FAIA and her new book, Louise Blanchard Bethune: Every Woman Her own Architect from SUNY Press.
